Jeanne Borromeo

Jeanne Borromeo is a licensed clinical social worker in NYS, with the “R” psychotherapy privilege to practice independently. She received her BSW from Marist College and master’s in social work at Adelphi University. Jeanne is currently pursuing her doctorate in clinical psychology at CalSouthern University.

Jeanne has served in multiple clinical and administrative capacities in the last 20 years, working with underprivileged populations adjusting to disruptions or recovering from loss or trauma, in foster care, residential care and/or secure environments.

Jeanne has received multiple trainings to provide individual or group therapy in cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy, trauma informed care and EMDR. She currently holds the following certifications:

  • Forensic Social Worker through the National Organization of Forensic Social Work
  • Anger Management Specialist II from National Anger Management Association
  • Clinical Anxiety Treatment Provider from the Institute of Certified Anxiety Treatment Professionals

Jeanne’s vast experience lies primarily with engaging challenging, oppositional and/or video-dependent youth and transitioning young adults. In addition to solution-focused treatment strategies for clients, Jeanne’s expertise lies in providing psychoeducation for adolescents and coaching their parents and/or family members. This serves to motivate clients to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction while building a client’s circle of support, so they may be able to live and function safely and independently within their communities.
